My Enemy's Cradle by Sara Young is a wonderful book with unpredictable twists. The story is set in Holland during the Holocaust and focuses on mothers and their children. I enjoyed this book because while the reader is aware of the atrocities that were happening, they don't take over the story of a young mother.
The Shop on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber was a very "feel-good" read. It took me awhile to get in to it, but the last 1/3 of the book became very enjoyable.
